The Information Security Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the organization’s security environment, ensuring that security strategies and protocols are effectively implemented to protect systems, networks, and data. This role includes monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and managing the security team to safeguard the organization from threats and vulnerabilities, with a specific emphasis on ensuring compliance with national policies and controls (الالمام بالسياسات والضوابط الوطنية).
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the security operations team, ensuring that the organization’s systems and data are protected from internal and external threats.
  • Oversee the implementation of security measures and technologies, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Monitor and manage security incident response processes, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and resolution of security breaches or incidents.
  • Develop and maintain security operations policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with national policies and controls (الالمام بالسياسات والضوابط الوطنية), as well as industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular security risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) and internal governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IT and other business units to ensure the security of applications, networks, and systems during deployment and changes.
  • Implement and manage SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools and other security technologies to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Coordinate vulnerability management activities, including penetration testing and patch management, to address security risks proactively.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the security operations team, ensuring continuous improvement in security practices and team development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, ensuring that the organization’s security operations are evolving to meet new challenges.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on security metrics and incident trends to senior management and other key stakeholders.
 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in information security operations, with a proven track record in managing security teams and implementing security measures.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of national policies and controls (الالمام بالسياسات والضوابط الوطنية) in addition to security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
  • Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and SIEM systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption protocols, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Proven experience in managing security risks and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle security incidents under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
